SLENDERMAN MAJORA’S MASK
No, you’re not imagining it. The mask is watching you. Its stare is penetrating your every fiber, that’s why you can’t look away.
At least that’s what I’ve been feeling as I’ve stared at Denilson S. Medeiros’s work for the last half hour. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a moon to steal.
Of course, this isn’t really Slenderman, but more of an homage to René Magritte’s The Son of Man but it doesn’t make it any less creepy!
POKEMON IN WATERCOLORS
Nicholas Kole has begun a quest to create all 151 original pokemon in watercolors and these are just the first nine. For more of his work and to see his latest updates, follow him on Behance.

MASTER CHIEF STAINED GLASS
We’ve seen Halo-themed stained glass before but this is unbelievable! Measuring 50” x 40”, this piece by Evan Daniels at Martian Glass Works is almost like having Chief in your house, except as glass.
The piece took Evan 70 hours to complete and he used approximately 200 pieces of glass, 250 feet of copper foil, 6 rolls of solder, 45 feet of reinforcement stripping, 15 feet of rebar steel reinforcement, and 14 feet of zinc framing.
If you’d like to order this from Evan, it’s available on Etsy.
CONTROLLERS DOWN, IT’S TIME TO VOTE!
Just a reminder that today is election day in the United States. If you haven’t voted yet be sure to get out and do so. I know voting isn’t the funnest thing to do, but it’s very important!
Your choices today decide what the next 4+ years look like. So let’s all put our controllers down and get out and vote.

PUMPKIN CARVING 2012
After getting lots of feedback from the community, I made my choices for what to carve this year: Pac-Man and Adventure Time!
Thanks to paulmason for suggesting Pac-Man. He had requested I do a Pac-Man level complete with cherries, ghosts, and everything but since I pretty much did that for my cross stitch project, I carved the original arcade cabinet art for Pac-Man (North American version).
The Adventure Time suggestion came from formermolly. They had requested I include BMO as well but instead of BMO, I opted to do the Adventure Time logo in between Finn and Jake. The logo was a huge pain in the ass because it was so small but, as this was my first time carving something so small and intricate, I was pleased with the results.
Are you carving pumpkins or dressing up this year? Send us your pictures and we’ll post them here.
Happy Halloween everyone!
A SOLID CRYSTAL COMPANION—FOR TESTING!
This weighted companion cube comes courtesy of Alyson Trent at desolationallie. The cube measures 2.4 inches, is laser etched on three sides, and the edges are beveled.
Finally, a companion cube to keep you company in your cubicle. Get it? CUBE-icle. Ok, I’m done.
The companion cube costs $30.00 and can be purchased on Etsy.
If you’re looking for a more traditional companion cube to take with you everywhere, checkout this Wooden Companion Cube.
DONKEY KONG BLANKET
Let visions of barrel-hopping, ladder-climbing fun take over you dreams as you sleep snugly beneath a Donkey Kong afghan blanket. Oh, and don’t forget murdering gorillas, that’ll make for some good dreams to.
This afghan blanket was created by Ana Petree Garcia and is available on Etsy for $260.00. Do note that each blanket is made-to-order and it can take 6-8 weeks before you get your order. But I think it’s worth the wait.
If you’re a fan of Donkey Kong and/or geeky art, you’ll probably enjoy the work of Steve Thomas.
POKEVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
In his latest piece, AstroZerk has combined Pokemon and the Avengers to create an EPIC version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
I don’t know about you but if I were to come across a trainer who unleashed Thor or the Hulk as their Pokemon, my Poke-battle days would be over. How do you compete with a God and a guy who can smash a “puny God?”
You don’t.

PORTLAND RETRO GAMING EXPO RECAP
After spending all day yesterday at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo (PRGE), I have to say they really put on a great show. There were so many classic games to play, retro goodies to purchase, and exceptional music (thanks DJ Switch!) that I just didn’t want to leave! The real surprise though, were the number of local artists that turned out for the event.
While I was familiar with most of their work, seeing it in person was a whole different experience, especially the work of The Wooden Arcade. Their pieces are suprisingly light and much more vivid and eye-catching in person.
Check the captions for the people responsible for this fabulous art and stay tuned for interviews and more of their work in the near future.

CREAM OF MUSHROOM KINGDOM
Even now, 25 years after his death, Andy Warhol continues to inspire. With a nod to Warhol’s 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans, Gregoire Guillemin has created his own version of the infamous piece based on the Mushroom Kingdom and their famous plumber.
Each piece can be purchased on Curioos.
