DISTANT WORLDS: MUSIC FROM FINAL FANTASY COMING TO PORTLAND
The Oregon Symphony just announced that Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy will be coming to Portland next year on Saturday April 26, 2014! Celebrate 25 years of music from the Final Fantasy series with a full orchestra and choir performing selections from the beloved series.
Honestly I can’t wait for this concert, especially after the amazing experience that was Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses. You can purchase tickets direct from the Oregon Symphony here for Distant Worlds right now.
DAFT PUNK Vs. HALL & OATES
After recording our latest podcast episode, our producer (DJ Switch of Dangerous Kids) played for us his most recent mashup which takes Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and adds some sexy with Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go For That.” He calls it “I Can’t Get Lucky.”

DRAKEY KONG
The classic arcade game Donkey Kong gets a musical update with this mashup shirt design from Busted Tee. The shirt cleverly uses the chorus lyrics from hip hop musician Drake’s Started From The Bottom as well as replaces Mario with an 8-bit Drake rescuing Pauline.

Irrational Games has announced the ringtones of recognizable sounds from Bioshock Infinite are now available to download for your mobile device.
These ringtones perfectly display the impact that sound can have within a game. Each file takes you right back to the appropriate moment within game—which makes the Songbird ones even more unsettling!
Irrational Games is also mulling over releasing another batch of ringtones from the game so if you have a particular sound you want them to include in that batch, let them know.

BEATBUDDY DEBUTING AT PAX EAST
Contrary to what the title may infer, Beatbuddy is not some frat house game where you try and beat the crap out of your fellow pledges.
Beatbuddy is an action-adventure game that’s all about music. In the game, players control a “beatbuddy” and navigate it through a song.
Intrigued? If you’re at PAX East this weekend you’ll be able to play a demo of the game at the Reverb booth. If you’re like myself and aren’t attending PAX East, watch the clever teaser video and you’ll be hooked.

Congratulations to the lucky, K.C. Knight, who slayed 640 entries to claim the Triforce of Music(aka a sweet pair of tickets) to the Oregon Symphony’s special music event of The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses!
