THE BROTHERS RAPTURE (A BIOSHOCK SHORT FILM)
Here’s another great example of a group of fans taking a video game property and turning it into an amazing fan film exactly like we discussed in our recent episode of Gut Check. The Brothers Rapture is a short film about two brothers who travel to Rapture and learn the true cost of art and power without boundaries.
If you enjoyed the soundtrack in this short film, here’s a link to download the haunting music of The Brothers Rapture from the production’s Bandcamp free for a limited time.
BIOSHOCK INFINITE RINGTONES NOW AVAILABLE
Irrational Games has announced the ringtones of recognizable sounds from Bioshock Infinite are now available to download for your mobile device.
These ringtones perfectly display the impact that sound can have within a game. Each file takes you right back to the appropriate moment within game—which makes the Songbird ones even more unsettling!
Irrational Games is also mulling over releasing another batch of ringtones from the game so if you have a particular sound you want them to include in that batch, let them know.
The ringtones are:
- Songbird Tune
- Songbird Call
- Lovers Inflamed
- Value Appreciation
- Salt Machine Tone

BIOSHOCK INFINITE NOUVEAU
Artist Bill Mudron just finished this amazing art work (in a similar style to that of Alphonse Mucha) depicting various moments from Irrational Games’ Bioshock Infinite. It’s currently being offered as a 12 x 22 print (on matte stock) for $25 on Big Cartel.
For those local Pacific Northwestern fans, if you happen to be attending this week’s upcoming Stumptown Comics Fest in Portland, OR; Bill will be there in person selling prints of this and other great art prints. I love nouveau art prints (like Mikey Mann’s Majora’s Mask one!) and this Bioshock Infinite one is now on my must have list.

HIS/HER BIOSHOCK INFINITE POSTERS
These new prints from William Henry really capture the look of Columbia—all the iconic structures and figures are present. What’s truly genius with his design though, is offering two variants of the prints.
Depending on how you interpret the game, its hero, and the ending, you can purchase either a print with Booker as a silhouette or Elizabeth instead. I won’t spoil anything for you if you haven’t played the game, but rest assured, it’s really darn clever!
Prints are available on Etsy. Follow William on Tumblr.
Oh, and remember Bioshock Hypnovision? It totally works with these prints as well. It’s like the city is just floating in the sky!
Take a trip to Rapture.
Stare at the gif for at least 30 seconds. Then look at at any of the images of Rapture.
