SKYRIM ULTIMATE BADASS EDITION NOW AVAILABLE

Okay, so it’s actually called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim—Legendary Edition, but it doesn’t change the fact that this pack is for gamers wanting to become the ultimate badass in the land Tamriel.

What makes the Legendary Edition so, well, legendary is that it includes the original game, the three add-ons (DawnguardHearthfire, and Dragonborn) and all the enhancements to the original game, including mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode, and Legendary skills (which let your character master every perk and level up indefinitely).

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition is available now for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC for $59.99.

A CLOSER LOOK AT WOLFENSTEIN: THE NEW ORDER

Bethesda and MachineGames have released new screenshots for their upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order. Unlike the first peek at the game, these showcase some of the enemies that we can expect to encounter.

It’s the 1960s and the Nazis have returned, or more accurately, they never left in this alternate future. You are B.J. Blazkowicz, an American war hero determined to mount a counteroffensive against the Nazis and to rewrite history.

Look for Wolfenstein: The New Order to release later this year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and next-gen consoles.

WOLFENSTEIN: THE NEW ORDER ANNOUNCED

Bethesda has announced they have partnered with MachineGames to bring the latest chapter in the Wolfenstein saga to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and next-generation consoles.

Beyond a new teaser trailer, and a Q4 release date, little is known about the game but Bethesda has promised more information throughout the week.

Haven’t heard of MachineGames? It’s a newer studio that was founded in 2009 by the founders of Starbreeze Studios (The Darkness and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay). In 2010 they were acquired by ZeniMax (Bethesda’s parent company).

THE EVIL WITHIN DEBUT TRAILER

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks (founded by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami) have announced they have partnered up to release a new   survival horror game called The Evil Within.

This debut trailer doesn’t show any in-game footage or gameplay but does a good job of setting a creepy tone for what fan can expect.

I’m always apprehensive (Must…resist…the…hype) when a new IP is announced with little to no actual game footage to show but I think this one has some great potential.

The Evil Within is currently scheduled to release next year in 2014 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC as well as next-gen consoles.

SOME GUY MADE A SHISHKEBAB TORCH MACHETE FROM FALLOUT 3

GreekGadgetGuru loves video games and loves inventing so it makes sense he would take something like Fallout 3’s flaming machete weapon “Shishkebab” and make one in real life.  It’s damn impressive to see this functional flammable stabbing implement and it makes me want to build one myself for an epic Fallout 3 cosplay session.

SKYRIM DLC FINALLY HEADED TO PS3 IN FEBRUARY

PS3 owners of Bethesda’s epic rpg The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can finally enjoy the previously released DLC content this next month!  The best news is that during the launch week of the DLC, all three (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn) will be available for 50% off normal price.

The specific release date in February hasn’t been announced yet but it’s nice to know it’s finally coming and its coming at a discount for a limited time.  Hopefully future DLC releases won’t take as long to come out.
