CLOUD GOES GROCERY SHOPPING

Fox’s Animation Domination HD proves Cloud’s social skill set and adventure skill set don’t really mesh together well in this new cartoon. Also, I would totally play a game called Final Fantasy Grocery Catharsis.

LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII DEMO NOW AVAILABLE

Square-Enix has released a demo for upcoming Lightning Returns for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (Gold members today, Silver members on Jan. 28).

Besides being able to get a taste for the game early, the demo also provides incentive for playing it.

Players who activate the Outerworld services and submit their battle scores of the final fight against Zaltys, the ‘Siegfried’ outfit will be unlocked in the full retail game.

PlayStation 3 players have the best incentive though. In addition to the above benefit, they automatically receive the Utsusemi Garb DLC, which includes the Heavenly Fan weapon and the Kaminari shield items for just downloading the demo. All items will then be unlocked in the full game when it releases on February 11.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 11.

Pre-order from Amazon and receive the Cloud Strife uniform and Buster Sword, the Amazon Exclusive Yuna outfit, and offical mini-guide for free.

FINAL FANTASY X||X-2 REMASTERED COLLECTOR’S EDITION ANNOUNCED, VITA VERSIONS UNDERGO SMALL CHANGE

Believe it or not, it was way back in August that Square-Enix announced that a Limited Edition version of Final Fantasy X||X-2 would be released. Now, months later, Square-Enix is announcing a Collector’s Edition.

"What’s the difference?" you ask. About $40 (it’s $80). Okay, so it’s a little more than that. The Collector’s Edition includes a 40 page artbook (as opposed to the 24-page one in the Limited), five lithographs, and a visual soundtrack, which is six hours of music set to memorable scenes from the game.

Amidst this announcement there is a bit of bad news though. The Collector’s Edition is only available in the Square-Enix store and is exclusive to North America.

Also, a little more bad news. PS Vita owners can no longer buy the games separately. X and X-2 are now only available together. The retail package comes with X and a download code for X-2.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will be available exclusively for the PS3 and PS Vita on March 18 for $39.99.

Pre-order now and get upgraded to the Limited Edition version for free.
